No real reason for my absence aside from being busy with life & lack of wireless Internet at home and work. Been meaning to post about clothes, & events and such also. Man, I will admit it, Twitter and Facebook have made my life MUCH easier. Been also toying with the idea of moving this blog to either Blogger, Tumblr or Wordpress. Rss feeds are interesting to me since it can increase readership and such. Anyways, the layout has been done for a while, I just need to upload it I suppose.
I guess looking into making layouts on those other platforms would be the next step. :/
I totally forgot about this blog. HAHA! Twitter and Facebook have taken over as my preferred "blogging" mediums. That beign said, I DO NOT plan on abandoning my pitas blog. I really do want to keep posting here so I have decided to make theme posts. Each day/week will be pre-planned to save time. As for my lj, my tweets automatically go there anyways so you guys can just add me on twitter if you wish. My username there is Miesuku.
That aside, they layout IS done, I just have to code and upload it. I must say that it is very pretty~! Thankfully I already have another that can transition into Winter already done.
I am on my way home from Canada as I type this entry. Thank God for mobile web. I really want to lighten up this layout. I love how it is structured but I need a change. Unsure if I will do away with the current entry module or not. The way it is set up now is nice but pitas only allows but so much freedom.
Sadly they only allowed 200 people into the meet and greet. Needless to say there were a lot of heartbroken (and a few crying) fans left outside in the oppressive Baltimore heat. Seeing as how my bus was stuck in traffic, I called my friend who was already on the lined to make sure she was ok.
Upon arriving and checking into my hotel, she calls me letting me know they are numbering people. No big deal for me since I was just coming to hang out anyways. I will start by saying that neither Hyde nor K.A.Z are important to me but had I gotten into the meet and greet, you bet your ass I had a gift for them. It is just being polite and I was entertained by their performance in NYC. So, I made an Epic Vodka Tower and gave it to her to give to them. When I say there was no one more deserving the honor of giving such an awesome gift to t heir favorite band/performer, I truly mean it. I instructed her to write all of our crews' names on the little bag tag and off I went to the back of the line.
Made a few phone calls to Vk_emily and StrawberryVox before deciding on heading back to the hotel to change clothes. Sweat and sexy clothes do not mix. So I showered, dressed, ate and returned to the venue with both Em and SVox. Went and talked with Matt, Mido and a few other people before the show started. I bide farewell to a few of my press friends as they herded us inside.
The venue itself was pretty interesting. they had some eleveated stairs stage left, a food stand and bar in the back, then the pit area had 3 large fans blowing air down on the crowd. TRUST ME when I say those fans were not enough. I was sweating before the band came on. Had so much fun at the VAMPS Sonar show. Crowd participation and "politeness" clearly showed through. I would give the show a B+ because K.A.Z, once again, was just there like a lump. Hyde's MC was funnier than the NYC show MC but then again, he did say that infamous crab speech in Baltimore.
As for Otakon this year, it was alright. The few panels I was able to check out were good, save for one. The lolita fashion show was AMAZING! Vivicore was there too. Needless to say, her designs were my favorite. Cosplay wise, I saw a number of Kuroshitsuji cosplayers. There were a lot of really well done cosplays for that series. I also saw a really amazing Lelouch cosplayer with an amazing "Tulip" helmet. I will post those up on my twitpic as the day continues. I also saw a lot of failure cosplays, specifically girls way too large to be exposing SO MUCH SKIN! For example, I saw WAY TOO MANY fat Chun Li and Gurren Lagann female cosplayers. I MEAN DAMN! There were others but I didn't know the name of the shows/characters they were cosplaying. Also, for fear of breaking my camera, I didn't photograph them. Artist ally was fun this year too. I met some of the people I follow on DA which was really awesome. One craft person had a Hard Gay cosplayer advertising for her. EPIC! All in all Otakon gets a B this year. A few snafus with panels and drama brought the grade down a bit.
Great concert. I was not in the pit though. Thank goodness. My usual station behind the tech guys provided me with a stellar view of the stage... and all the fail going on in the crowd. Obscene amounts of pushing, this one guy who was all the way in the back made it to third row... by pushing and jostling through the crowd as they swayed. A few of my friends on the rail and a few complained of worse atrocities like faces full of long hair, being choked and elbowed by people behind them, and being pinched/punched/shoved. I had contemplated joining them on the rail... or at least my usual second row. But knowing this is Hyde's FIRST New York appearance AND the first VAMPS show, I knew that being in the pit would spell trouble for me. So I decided to dress cute instead!
I hope Baltimore is better, crowd wise.
I find it so hard to get into the mood to blog lately. I used to LOVE blogging, but now it seems to have become a CHORE. I barely upload or link images anymore. I rarely feel like making a new layout these days. I guess the ease of information sharing on Facebook, Twitter and the like have made me quite lazy. I had HOPED that by changing the format of this blog, I would be motivated to update it, but that is FAR from the case. If anything, I may simply use my Polyvore account and post images of clothing coordinates or something.
That being said, I need to post about the newest album/single releases. UGHHHH! TEDIOUS~!
I know you all want to know about the dinner AND THE NITTY GRITTY DETAILS, but just read StrawberryVox's tweets until I get the post typed out. She got me so addicted since she was documenting EVERYTHING! Anyways, I will briefly discuss the dinner. BRIEFLY!
Basically there were 5 winners (myself included) and we made casual conversation over appetizers. Two white, two asian and myself, the only black girl there. Whatever. It was all good. So the food arrives and I found it funny how none of the other girls were really eating, EXCEPT ME. Nor were they really drinking, EXCEPT ME. Ken made a joke about my trying the whole drink menu but it was all good. I responded with "I'm old enough for a drink, so why not?". Needless to say, this garnered nods from the band and a few chuckles.
One of the winners presented some of her artwork which was really amazing. THIS GIRL CREATED REALLY FUCKING AMAZING ARTWORK! We were all blown away by it. Mine(sp?) kept saying how skillful she was. She was such a sweetheart too. Everyone was actually. It was a nice relaxing dinner.
On the autograph line today, one girl asked me what Ken was like and all i said was quiet, calm and intense but in an "I am aware" sort of way. He was pretty chill about everything which was good. When it was my turn to have my photo autographed, Ken remembered me and asked a question pertaining to last nights dinner and my drinking. I responded with "Fuck yeah! Why not?" and we laughed. Then I said hello to everyone else. I commented on Fire and his raving the night before. Fun times! He laughed and nodded at that, looking genuinely happy. Then I waved to Masuo who waved back. Last was DJ Bass. So he and I have a challenge the next time he is here in the states. HAHAHAHAHAHA! I KNOW I WILL BEAT HIM TOO!Left once the autograph signing for Fake? was done. Well not immediately, I waited until Daniel and Carrie arrived. We chitchatted and walked Orfic and StrawberryVox to the shuttle bus. They were heading out for some food in NYC. I can't even concentrate right now because I am so hungry. :( Alright. There ya have it. I need to go eat something, I am starving!
So, I arrived at the convention Friday evening. After dropping off my stuff in the hotel room, I immediately went to pick up my badge. Returned only to see that Orfic had arrived. I went back into the convention center with her to get her badge and backstage pass for the FAKE?. Soon after we returned to the room to get ready for the concert that evening... and to drink "a little". Matt doles out the VIP badges and I happen to snag VIP badge #3. YAY!
Lined up for the show in number order. It was really good to have all my friends around though. Anyways, the show is AWESOME! So many favorites were played but most importantly, "USED TO BE A BAD THING"! It was pretty awesome getting rail for a bit CENTER STAGE! I mean being quasi second-first row is awesome too, but I decided to give up rail to be next to my friends!
So, they all looked great last night. I am just too lazy to post details but Ken Lloyd's package was just.... HIGHLY VISIBLE IN HIS LEATHER PANTS. LOL I think the funniest part of the whole evening was the sanction for RIAA ILLEGAL ACTIVITY! After the concert a few of us left to get some Grease Trucks (these HIGH CALORIE SANDWICHES). We returned to the hotel for "a little bit" of drinking. HILARITY ENSUED. I will upload the video on facebook or photobucket when I get home on sunday. ANYWAYS, I randomly purchased a Dinner with the Band raffle Ticket yesterday and actually WON! I still can't believe it! So I need to go get ready soon. BYE~~~~!
Apparently THREE of my good friends won the Jrock House contest to go backstage to hang out with Fake? at Anime Next this weekend. I am so excited for them, but at the same time I am worried about how they will get into the crowd during the concert. I've seen the same problem play out at every show I've been to with this type of concert/contest. The winners have to FIGHT to get into the crowd and get glared at by the people who stood in line for hours. I am so happy that a whole bunch of us will be in the front anyways, so allowing my friends in should not be a problem. I called one of the winners up and she sounded so excited.
It really could not have gone to a better set of people.
Loveless Mangaka Kouga Yun will be a guest at this year's Anime Expo!
Damnit! I would have GONE had I known that. I guess I will have to go next year.
Actor David Carradine, Aka "Bill" from Kill Bill was found dead in a Thai hotel room yesterday. Some news sites say it was a sex act gone wrong, others say suicide. All I know is the man is dead. Such sad sad news.
This past week and weekend were full of family and friends from Toronto and Philadelphia respectively. My sister bestowed a lot of choice clothing and accessories upon me! Will upload photos to poupee girl later! I will say this though Dolce and Gucci! Eeeeee~!
So, my friend Zucci gets all the credit for this tidbit. She let me know that there is a newly made Ai no Kusabi website. Apparently there is to be an anime adaptation (roughly 13 episodes) of this cult classic.
It has been a while since I have looked at anything yaoi related, but I REALLY want to check this out! I can admit the lure of yaoi has pretty much faded away. I mean how many different plots can there actually be? I have been reading the same plots since HIGH SCHOOL, be it fanfiction, doujinshi or actual toukubon. After having been such an avid fan of MalexMale relation mangas and anime for that long, is not that hard to see myself loosing interest. I still admire the artists' styles though. I really did wish Chi-ran would put out an artbook already. Her covers are GORGEOUS!gETTING BACK ON TOPIC, I need to find a torrent for this as soon as it comes out!
Usually when one says art and J-rock, most people think of two things: manga styled drawings or realistic depictions of the performer or band. I have seen MANY of both on deviantart..com But NEVER had I seen the following:

I have no words aside from DELIGHTFULLY AMUSING! :D
Things seem to have fizzled for the Utada Hikaru event NYC album release event that was due to have occurred this past Tuesday. Granted she is ill hence why it was canceled, but I wonder if the release will also be delayed?
In other news, the GazettE have another release scheduled next month!
Not to be outdone by his former label mates, Miyavi is releaseing a compilation of articles, interviews and photos of his 5 and a half year solo career. I think this is a MUST for any Miyavi fan.
Long time, no blog. Been super busy lately but I FINALLY have time to blog really quick. As the title states, this summer will be music filled. With FAKE? in June playing at Anime Next and the regional VAMPS concerts in July (one being a day prior to Otakon), there is much to be excited about.
Next week, Utada Hikaru will be having an album signing for the PHYSICAL release of This Is THe ONe. I can't make it but I already told ChrissyHA about it since she loves her some Hiki!
My friend K8 sent me a link to a video on youtube of Die from Dir en Grey speaking English.
Isn't it precious? Imagine no cursing at all, bitch!
So I have been a Poupee Girl user for some time now. Some time being a little over year. I had stopped early on due to not really getting what the site was about since 90% of it was in Japanese. Around January, I suddenly was dragged back into it. Needless to say i am addicted Poupee Girl is a unique vector based doll dressing system that encourages people to upload their OWN clothing items. I was under the impression that they actually rendered the clothing uploaded into what your doll wears. Sadly this is not the case. The incentive to upload however is gaining clothing items and ribbons. Ribbons are the currency on Poupee Girl that allow you to buy items to dress your doll. You can also gain ribbons when people comment on your items and ultimately, you can purchase ribbons via paypal.
The events they have periodically provide the chance for users to purchase new clothing for their dolls pertaining to a certain theme. An informative FAQ can be found hereHere is a link to my poupee girl and this is what I wore before my birthday:
Ok. I adore him to death, but Toshiya looks like a wannabe asian gang memeber from south central LA by way of 1990's gangsta rap! Sup Coolio!
See more here.I EAGERLY await photos of a proper styling of his hair. :(
Finally some news from Miyavi on the whole "Melody being his wife and bearing his child" issue that has been hotly contested in the fan communities and forums these past few weeks.
As of March 14, 2009, I got married with melody.
And this summer, our baby will be born.
Yeah,I'm gonna be a dad !!
(Who can believe it?)
Including the media reports, to all fans and everyone involved, we are deeply sorry for all the trouble we may have caused.

So my laptop battery arrived yesterday. Placed it into the laptop and charged it while I slept.
IT IS TOTALLY CHARGED AND READY TO GO! I am so excited! I will now be able to get SO MUCH DONE now! My server will hold my important files while I work on my projects ANYWHERE!
I need to work on getting more programs and certain accessories but that is all secondary.
More productive times are nigh!
I finally got my MAC laptop. I had a snag with the network connection but I resolved it quickly. Woohoo! No more being tethered to the indoors to use a computer!
Yeah. I am speechless. *registers for the convention without a sound.*
More info can be found here
I am guessing the majority of the photos are now up. It was truly a feast for the eyes! Photos can be found HERE!!
Eggvip visited and stayed by me for several days. It was quite nice and relaxing to say the least. Our agenda was, for the most part, free flowing and impromptu but we did hit up two of the urban areas near by for some much needed shopping. On one occasion, we sat in on an Eden Star rehearsal which was QUITE fun.
Later on last week I had contacted Samantha Rei of Blasphemina's Closet (shall be referred to as BC from now on) about picking up my skirt either Friday or Saturday morning. As it turned out, we would meet on Saturday afternoon. The skirt is simply awe inspiring! I DO NOT exaggerate when I say this either. Anyways, I go off to buy a short petticoat and beauty supplies while Eggvip, BC, Heather from Scoundrelle's Keep (SK) and Megan Maude (MM) headed to the venue.
I will spare the boring details of backstage stuff but all in all, the show was amazing (despite Volitare NOT showing up! BOO!). The CLOTHING showcased were STUNNING, especially BC,SK and Apatico's stuff! I will definitely be purchasing some over the next few months.
That being said, BC, SK and Apatico are such sweethearts! Even Mr. BC was a sweetheart! I really enjoyed spending time with them and hope to do so again in the future.
Last year, on this very same day, something exciting happened. I can still remember waking up early that morning to get to St. Mark's Place to buy the cans of coffee too. That whole day was insane yet exciting at the same time. I headed to the venue after purchasing my items.
The concert was AMAZING! We did no get rail but were by the lighting/sound booth so we relaxed, drank and head banged like crazy! The autograph session was going to take place soon so we went to line up.
My friends and I were about the 10th people in line. So I divided up the Starbucks gift cards ($6.90 EACH!) but KEPT the ones I wanted to give personally (2 of them).
Suddenly, my phone went off. Emily notified me that SOMEONE blogged about a gift I had given them the day before. I WAS SO EXCITED AND SCARED AT THE SAME TIME! I mean I had ANOTHER gift to give that same evening.. not the EXACT thing he WANTED but as close as I could get to it.
I was TERRIFIED as I gave them their gifts.. but most of all when I handed HIM the bag and went "Dozo. Presento.", shook his hand meekly and bowed. The whole thing seemed surreal then AND still does now.
I still have that text message... I read it over and over when I am upset or stressed out.It calms me down and makes me smile A LOT.
So thank you Emily and thank you too MISTER.
Been busy as heck lately. Moving at the end of the month. I guess I should go on HIATUS soon since I haven't gotten any sort of internet access sorted out for the new place. I mean leeching is fine and good but that is IF I can actually do it. :/
STILL looking for a better paying job. Speaking of money, I purchased more stuff for the furisode. PAID for my CUSTOM commissioned items from Blasphemina's Closet. I am still lacking a few things but I have faith in myself to get ALL if not the most important items by the end of NEXT WEEK! Yeah. Busy busy busy!
So, my copy of MUCC's newest album release, Kyutai arrived this morning. I am now getting around to watching it. I haven't listened to it as of yet. I am still basking in the glow of how EARLY it arrived! This is truly a remarkable thing. Since I opted for the "special" addition, it came as a two disk 3 panel digipack.
The design on a whole is really nice. Considering their experimentation with ethnic sounds in the last album, I can see it has also influenced the design of this one also. The ruby reds, sandy beiges, charcoal blacks and sepia browns really compliment each other. While the lyric book lacked any real design INSIDE of itself, it made up for it by containing both Japanese AND English lyrics.
Long story short: I LOVE IT. SO ECO CHIC! I have already seen a number of my friends' faces in the dvd and I am only 10 min in. Close to halfway but for the price I paid for it, I can not complain. Long story short, MUCC knows how to treat their fans. They treat us EXTREMELY well! I am really proud of these guys, you have no idea.
I will probably head over to Nikui's place for a viewing on Saturday... maybe. I haven't decided yet actually.
